Look at the playbooks. Half of then use a TE in the backfield. I didn't use a single formation sub package.

I have never seen a play or formation that the #1 WR is moved to be a TE with his hand in the dirt. And the only people I've seen pull that shit are the ever so fun madden d-bags we all came to the league to avoid.

I was kidding about Olsen!  I have seen it with Witten at FB as well when I played the Cowboys.  Not a big deal.

I do move Cruz inside to TE in the 2 WR, 1 TE, I RB, 1 FB formation, but that is part of the set three WR package.  This is not a manual sub.  I also don't think I had much success with him out of that formation.  Keep in mind, I only scored 10 points on offense!

I moved him to the inside CB position in the 5 CB / 1 LB set when he went 4 WR and 1 TE.  It didn't work.  Even when he got matched up on him normally in other sets it wasn't great.

Agreed.  The catch over the middle at the end was crazy.  Looked like he flew 10 yards in the air.  On the other hand, I thought I had some guys open deep that you were able to pick off.  

The fumble on the kickoff was bad.  And, the guy I threw to on the pick six was open, ran into some other players and your guy jumped it.  Bad breaks both ways.  Fun game though.

Something else I realized: Did every Super Owl winner in Madden 13 have home field advantage?  I'm pretty sure I was the home team when I won last year, Chad just won as the home team this year, and I think I was the away team when Kat won.  Not sure about Jason, he might've been away team.  Cause for some reason, it felt like Chad had home field advantage on me, which sounds insane.

Seems like there should be some kind of rule against running sub packages like that. Only a huge benefit to using those on every passing down, and recognition at the line of scrimmage only protects the defense so far.

Yeah, I put AJ Green as a down TE a couple times but it was a formation sub package in the playbook. I never had much success with it though.

Just to clarify again, the Eagles playbook has a formation sub in a shotgun formation that moves a WR into the TE position.  Most of the damage done by Cruz was done out of the WR position in the NFC Championship game.  And, I scored 17 points.  In the Superbowl he caught 1 pass.
