Season Goals

Texans are revising their season goals:

• Turn QB Terrelle Pryor into an MVP candidate (HA!)
• Figure out who to start at HB (yes, by the end of the season)
• Teach WR Trent Platt how to run a route
• Increase CB Reggie "and the Full Effect" Baker's legacy score (he's currently #13 among CBs all-time!  Watch out, Deion!)
• Shame Julius Peppers.  SHAME HIM!
• Get TE Ruckus Cage to lead the league in receptions, like an asshole
• End Madden 13 with coach Kanye West having the highest legacy score among created coaches.

I love it, legacy score is so stupid, so it's time to start caring about it!

As you guys look at your teams, drop a note about your goals for the season.

Lions season goals

1) Play some games for reals, except for pre-season or Week 1 & 2 I suspect
2) Not lose to zip again.
3) Try more new playbooks
4) Get Megatron into the Hall of Fame before he is 30!
5) Try not to throw to Megatron all the time.
6) Try and make humourous emails or posts.
7) Get better at Defense
8) Get better at Offense too.
9) Enjoy Season 4th String!
10) To be at least competitive in my games.
11) User more positions on D, first up, being RE Ronnell Lewis

Get TE Ruckus Cage to lead the league in receptions, like an asshole - No, but 61 is pretty damn good while having a WR I practically spam.

End Madden 13 with coach Kanye West having the highest legacy score among created coaches. - Third, which is stupid as hell, because three Super Bowl appearances, one Super Bowl win, an MVP under your belt and another AFC Title game appearance should seal it. How the hell does Jamarcus Austin top Kanye?  He shouldn't!

Madden 13 Overall Rating: A+++ I ACED it.  Save for JJ Watt, the Texans are a completely different, albeit entirely better team.

Win more then four games. Mission accomplished. Now I'll be playing MUT and drinking the rest of the night.

New playbook: I experimented with the Carolina and Tampa books, but I ultimately went back to the Minnesota PB. That said, I did find a bunch of new and fun plays that I hadn't considered before, and I'm proud of how my offense has evolved over the past season.

New QB: I used Joe Webb for one game, nearly lost to the Bengals, then chickened out and went back to MBT. Fail! But I do love MBT.

Fun: I did have fun!

Another ring would be nice too: Losing to the Giants on a last gasp drive with 20 seconds to go... kinda sucked. But hey, I got my ring in Madden 13. Well done, Giants! I'm glad we had a different winner every season, and three brand new winners at that.

Madden 13 Overall Rating: I took a nobody third string QB and turned him into a league MVP. I went on my dream Super Owl run, beating Kraig, Adam, and both Suszeks. Prince got coach of the year. At a minimum, I think Prince is Top 5 in coaching legacy, maybe Top 2. I built a great team with the likes of Nick Yates, MBT, Torrey Smith, Laron Landy, Daryl Washington, Antonio Cromartie, and Tramaine Brock.  I had many memorable games with Kraig and Adam. I became a much, much, much better player than I was at the beginning of Madden 13. Overall grade: A++++ Most enjoyable year yet!

For me, its more like "Madden Career Goals".

I started my Madden career at the start of the last season of Madden 11 with the Jets, and went 1-15 I believe.  Went to Madden 12 and was still super terrible.  I don't even remember all of the people I played against, but it was not easy going for me at all.

Then comes Madden 13.  As everybody already knows, I start 0-3, change my qb (before the real Harbaugh does. Ha!), change my playbooks, and figure out that man is the way to go.  I chase down the 6-1 Seahawks, finish with only one more loss and end the regular season at 12-4.  Had to beat the best of the best in Chris James, Adam and Kraig to get through the playoffs, and then the tough Tom to win it all.  I wish I could go back and look, but I think I only lost one conference game in four seasons.

As an aside: the new Madden looks to be tricky.  The defense is toned down, but look at the points our top guys put up.  I fear that it is going to be an offensive bloodbath, but who knows?  All I know is Black Eyed Peas play in the background of the practices, on loop, and it drives me bananananas.
