PS: Its rainy in Mangalore in July and please do prepared to fight the rains. An Umbrella is a must. J
How to get there: Bangalore – Mangalore is well connected by Bus and there is a night train as well. You could also drive down the scenic Western Ghats (6 hours max & prior monsoon drive experience mandatory) The wedding is at Yermal village which is in between Mangalore & Udupi. The location is right by the highway. [ Click Here]
If you plan to use the local transport, take an express bus from Mangalore to Padubidri. From Padubidri, Yermal is around 5 km’s. A local bus or an auto would get you there. (If you haven’t been to Mangalore before, I would suggest this option. Mangalorean bus rides are unlike anywhere else J )
What to do: Wedding is on a Sunday. You can plan to be at Mangalore on the Saturday and take a day to check on the attractions around. (Details here.)
