Thanks to former Four County Players Board of Directors member Barbara Wimble for researching and writing about one of luminaries in the theater’s past for OC Magazine. Sara Smith Bossong launched the Shakespeare at the Ruins series in 1990 when she directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the historic Barboursville Ruins, located at Barboursville Vineyards. The series ended in 2006 but returns this summer, July 12-27, 2019, with a production of Midsummer directed by Lydia Underwood Horan.

Board of Directors News
In December, Barbara Wimble informed the Board of Directors that she needed to leave the board before the end of her term in June 2019 for personal reasons. We have appreciated her many contributions both onstage and off over the years and are sad to see her go. Fortunately, Barbara continues to work diligently on projects related to capturing important Four County Players history!
In January, the board voted to appoint Jeff Ward to fill the remainder of Barbara's unexpired term. We are thrilled to have him take on this leadership position.
Members interested in serving on the Board of Directors should contact Tres Wells at tresf...@gmail.com to learn more about the nomination and election process.
