Job Title : Production Support Engineer
Location : Austin, TX or Wilmington, DE
Duration :Long Term
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor and support production web applications and infrastructure running on AWS.
• Report any application or infrastructure issues identified in production systems including web application(s), database, file transmissions and supporting infrastructure.
• Monitor daily scheduled jobs and file transmissions. Execute any failed jobs. Maintain agreed SLAs.
• Create a daily report of the issues identified indicating appropriate criticality.
• Participate in weekly triage meetings.
Position Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and/ or experience
· Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in software industry
· Experience with Linux, Windows
· Knowledge of commonly used Linux tools for searching and parsing files
· Knowledge of databases and SQL
· Knowledge of SSH, SFTP, FTP, PGP Encryption/Decryption
· Maintains a “hands on” attitude. Strives to understand work drivers, continually self improves and grow in knowledge
· Detail-orientated with excellent communication and organizational skills
· ETL and File Transmissions
