Job Title : Performance Software Engineer -Advisor

Location : Arlington, VA

Responsibilities:

Required:

·         9+ years of development experience with a focus on application performance management and profiling using performance measurement tools

·         5+ of Jmeter scripting experience

·         3+ years of experience with establishing a performance baseline and identifying areas to improve application performance

·         Strong SQL and data modeling, including experience working with ORM tools/frameworks such as Hibernate (including a working knowledge of JPA 2.0)

·         Strong experience in a pure backend services based environment, with a complete grasp of RESTful APIs and best practices – this is a core skill

·         Highly motivated, success oriented, organized and strong work ethic – must collaborate in a team environment effectively

·         Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must – this is a core skill required

·         Take pride in the quality and efficiency of your work

·         Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle

·         Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion

·         Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills

·         Agile team experience

Desired:

·         U.S. veteran or previous experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs

·         Knowledge of Spring cloud and Netflix stack, ELK (elasticsearch, Logstash Kibana), Zuul

·         Knowledge & experience with Kafka

·         Experience with WebLogic Server 11g or higher

·         2 years of java development experience

·         Knowledge of Spring Boot

·         Experience with LINUX

·         Practical experience working with build frameworks Maven (required)
