4D JDBC Driver

Hi all,

I am a Java developer, I am new to 4D. The company I am working with
has 4D v11 SQL. They have asked me to develop some small functionality
(in Java) outside 4D. I found an old jdbc driver and am running into
errors connecting. I have searched a great deal but have come up with
nothing.

The error message is:

java.sql.SQLException: com.fourd.jdbc.ConnectionImpl::ConnectionImpl:
ConnectionLL4Err
Unable to connect to 192.168.0.11 on port 19812

Does anyone know what that error even means?

I have not used the JDBC Driver.

My guess would be that there is a firewall issue with port 19812 .

sorry but afaik that jdbc driver is old and unsupported.

I'd look to other solutions to get java to talk to 4D: SOAP or REST.
