I'm trying to follow the directions in the README.txt (http://www.sagemath.org/mirror/win/README.txt) and I am getting stuck here:
2. ssh to the same IP address as the Sage Notebook. For example, if when you
   run notebook it says:

Open Firefox to the address http://172.16.248.137
It may take up to about 10 seconds for the server to start. Press refresh.
(Click here and press control-C twice to stop the notebook server)

then you should SSH to 172.16.248.137. Use the login name "sage" and the
   password "sage".
I am currently using vmware and I'm guessing the problem is that it "can't connect to external network." Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? I want to be able to render an ip address so I can continue through with the readme.
However, I am able to change code and build Sage through terminal on the virtual machine. Does that mean I actually don't have to worry about the above? (If so I'd still love an answer to the above though)

I fixed a related problem on another student's machine in class. It's
too hard to explain in email, unfortunately.

Can you come to office hours on Monday (11:30-12:30 and 3:30-4:30)?
