Do you know that we are being tricked in availing the Sr Ctz Concession by the Railways. For me it  was accidental realisation, that went un-noticed first  time when I sat down to book my Rail  tkt online for Chandigarh..  Thank God the payment did not go through, my good luck. On retry  this IRCTC trick was noticed on junking sr citizen Concession  as default setting by the IRCTC. 

 

Be careful and read the fine print while going through the procedure in booking your tkt next time. It is a recent addition that you will now be asked, “Do you want to forego concession?”  the default option is OK, which you are likely to click in routine as usual . Be very careful in exercising this option.

 

I wish I could write there What for ? ,  Like gas subsidy they might ask you to carry your Income Tax Return with you next time .
