AOBF was discontinued on 31 Dec 2017. This is a reminder for those who have not yet sent their details to AOBF. As per earlier conversation with concerned person Quantum of refund to serving and veterans are to be worked out by an in-house committee.
· Remittance to veterans is to be guided by year of commission and within that age
· Beginning was to be made with 1963 commission officers – there being few
· Process is as under:
o Letters to officers to be sent by AOBF cell based on an internal check of address with AG’s branch (MP-5)
o Officers to intimate their bank details
o Payment to be made as per age and date of receipt of reply from officers
Based on some inputs that I collected it has become apparent that process has been modified and as such checked once again with concerned person manning the phone at AOBF office and learnt the following:
· Applications received from Officers of 1963 to 1971 irrespective of seniority are being processed on first come first serve basis
· Rs.7000/= is being paid across the board – am aware of some officers with DOB Jan-Feb 1943 who have missed out on Rs.50,000/=
· All applications from1963-1971 seniority officers are to be cleared during current calendar year. Officers who do not apply will be contacted hereafter with inputs from MP (5)
