Hello fellow 43rders!

 
This is it, Obama supporters: Crunch time.

 

We need your help! We will win this election by making sure that we don't get complacent, and by making sure we get out each and every vote. (As Obama reminded us today, he was up 17% before the New Hampshire primary, too.)

We can do this, but not without you. Here's what's coming up to get out the vote in the 43rd:

 

This Friday: Help assemble walking packets

Swing by the Coordinated Campaign Headquarters (1310 Mercer St) at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, to receive a walking packet to knock on doors this weekend. Ask for Mika or Laura.

(If you are already a Neighborhood Leader, you'll receive separate instructions from your Regional Organizer about the walking packet for your neighborhood.) 

Next Tuesday: Come to Drink for Change, a fun fundraising night at the Ballroom in Fremont
 
On Tuesday Oct 21st from 7pm to 10pm, the Ballroom will be hosting an event with door prizes, trivia prizes and a "beat Obama's score on Wii bowling" competition. Pass this invite on to friends!

Next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday through Election Day: Phone bank for Barack!

 

Bring your cell phone and we'll give you a list of names of apartment folks in the 43rd district to call. Neighbors calling neighbors is the best way to reach people and remind them to vote.

Yeah, OK, Obama is looking good in the polls here, but we are going to win by taking nothing for granted. And we all know Chris Gregoire's race will be a squeaker, and she needs our help. She supported his candidacy in the early days, and we need a Democratic ally in our governor's mansion to help Senator Obama's plans for this country be enacted.

 
If you can plan to help the first four days of November (Sat, Nov 1 through Tue, Nov 4), we will get out the vote in the crucial 43rd LD.

On Election Day, November 4

 

We will be running canvasses and phonebanking all day on Tuesday, November 4. We will have multiple locations in the 43rd LD in order to make the trip convenient for you. Do you work downtown? Consider coming to the Baltic Room on your lunch break to phone bank on Election Day.
