If you live in the 43rd Legislative District and would like to help Obama on Election Day, we will have two locations where the Campaign for Change will be running Get Out the Vote operations. If you live in the 43rd and are still debating whether to help or not on Tuesday, as food for thought, here are two possible Wednesday mornings:

The cable news shows lead with John McCain's incredible back-from-nowhere victory. Every Seattle Democrat vows to never trust fivethirtyeight.com again, ever. An anti-choice Republican governor has his press conference on his plans for the state of Washington. Everyone you see on Broadway, the Ave, on 15th and in Fremont is absolutely crestfallen.

Alternate scenario: Barack Obama has a mandate from the people, with a landslide victory, including a win in Washington that helps run up his total number of votes. You go to work on Wednesday, and co-workers thank you for your incredible work, and for making sure that Obama and Gregoire won. You always sensed it would work out like this, but you still feel glad that you did everything you could at the time it really mattered, weren't complacent, and gave a long but exhilarating day of work for the campaign on Tuesday.

We currently have fewer than 10 people signed up to help us on Election Day at the locations below. We will have PCOs and other supporters join us who have not signed up, but still, we need hundreds of people to cover the 43rd LD the way the Obama campaign would like us to.

Please join us. We're almost there, but we need your help.

North of the Ship Canal (Fremont, Wallingford, Ravenna and U District):

South of the Ship Canal (Capitol Hill, downtown, Eastlake, Madison Park, or Montlake):

We're asking people to arrive at 7:30 AM, if possible. We'll be providing lunch and dinner (although anyone who wants to cook or bake food to drop off at those locations would be appreciated!). Those of us who are volunteer organizers will be there for 12 hours, but we'll take your help for whatever we can get.

See you then,

Jen Hauseman,

LD captain and national delegate for Barack Obama from the 43rd LD
