Fewer than 100 days until the election and we're getting ready

With fewer than 100 days left until the elections, we're gearing up in the 43rd to help deliver Washington state to Obama. We have plenty of volunteer opportunities in the next two weeks in particular. Most will be held at the grassroots Democratic office, at 1123 E. John (12th and John on Capitol Hill).

Button Making
We'll be making buttons at these events to hand out to students here at the UW, as well as in the swing states of Pennsylvania and Florida. We can use your help!

Data Entry
In addition, if you're tech-savvy, we could use your help. Contact Rose (ro...@43forObama.org) if you can help enter data to ensure we have the most up-to-date walking lists (for door-to-door voter registration) possible. The dates are: Saturday, August 2nd 10am-3pm (any portion thereof) and Tuesday, August 5th.

Canvassing Your Precinct
We currently have five Regional Organizers in the 43rd who will be leading kickoff trainings on voter registration and canvassing. If you are interested in being a member of these precinct teams and can commit to putting in about five hours a week between now and the election (more closer to November 4), we would love to hear from you. Please drop us a line at 43for...@gmail.com. Most kickoff trainings will take place the first two weeks of August. If you are a PCO or precinct captain for your precinct and you haven't already received an invitation, please let us know that too.

Phone Banking Location?
Do you work in an office that would be willing to allow for phone banking the 43rd? If so, we need to hear from you. Please contact Mika (mi...@wa-democrats.org) if you think you can provide the hookup on after-hours phone-banking space.

Banner Maker?
And speaking of our new grassroots office space, we have a tiny office in a prime location, and could use an all-weather banner (or two) to advertise for Obama. Are you artistically inclined and willing to donate the time and materials? If so, please let us know at 43for...@gmail.com.
