We have a variety of upcoming events that we'd love your help with!

1. Data Entry Parties
 
There are two data entry parties on the calendar.  The first is Monday, July 21st and the second is Tuesday, July 29th.  Both will be from, 6-9pm at the 43rd LD Grassroots Office, which is located at 1123 E. John St.  It is on the southwest corner of 12th and John, in a grey two story house - look for the Obama signs in the 2nd story windows.  The front door will be locked, but there will be a marked doorbell - just ring the bell, and we'll let you in!
 
Please bring your own laptop.  If you do not have one, just let us know.  We do have a few spares, but I need to know how many to bring.

2.  Capitol Hill Block Party
 
We will have a booth at the Capitol Hill Block Party  this Friday and Saturday (the 25th and 26th) to do outreach and voter registration.  We will have 2 hour shifts - see below for links to the individual shifts.  At the moment, we do not have any spare passes, but if you are planning on going to the Block Party anyway, please consider dropping by and helping out for a little bit between great shows!  Exact meeting location TBA when we find out precisely where the booth will be.  No previous voter registration experience needed - we'll give you a quick training and provide everything you need!

3. Primary GOTV Canvassing and Phone Banking
 
Obama for America--Washington State Campaign for Change
 
On August 19th, Washington holds a primary election for the federal, state and local races. While Senator Obama will not appear on the ballot, getting out the Democratic vote is crucial. *A Republican victory in statewide primaries, specifically the hotly-contested gubenatorial race, will invigorate the Republican's activist and donor base and make our task for the General Election more difficult*. To protect our momentum, and because of Senator Obama's commitment to down-ticket Democrats, our priority is getting Democrats out to vote for Democratic candidates in the August 19th primary!
 
Here's what the Obama campaign needs from you:
 
A weekend afternoon canvassing your neighborhood the weekends of July 26th, August 1st, August 8th and August 15th.
A weeknight calling important voters to remind them of the primary and make sure they're voting for Governor Gregoire and other Democrats.
The shifts are from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Please sign up on My.BarackObama.com
