I'm using Macintosh OS X iCal to save recurring tasks. I have several
calendars and each calendar has a dozen or two tasks spread out over a
month.

As I complete each task for the month, I would like to track my
progress, so I know what tasks I have not done. I don't want to use
paper to do this.

While I see that To Do items in iCal have a spot to check as
completed, I don't see that for recurring events.

I recently found a new beta software package called Listz
http://www.robochan.com/

It has the ability to check off items, and my first thought was to
export my iCal data into Listz each month. However Listz does not
currently accept imported data, nor does it snyc to iCal.

It would be nice to find a program that uses iSync to suck down data
from iCal, and then allow me to digitally check off items as I
complete them.

Exporting from iCal into text and then importing stuff once a month
would suffice for the time being.

My question in general is - how do you track your progess on recurring
tasks. I guess Sciral Consistency is one option.

In specific, since I'm already using iCal, how do I digitally indicate
that I have completed an event (not a to do item).

Thank you.

Mark,
How about opening that occurrence of the recurring event instead of the
whole chain of events? Once you edit an occurrence, it becomes
independent from the recurring task. Then modify the name of this
event with a prefix to denote this event is completed. For example,
modify "Cut the grass" to be "vCut the grass" (Option-v). An
advantage of this method is that you can easily call up all completed
items to delete or review them if you wish.

Regards,
Scott

This is a great drawback of almost all calendar programs right now.

I want to be able to:

1) See all my calls/to dos/meetings for today in the calendar

2) Mark things as "Completed" (and have the option of hiding completed
items) without deleting them.

The only program I know that does this is ACT and it's a huge Windows
only beast and the latest version for the Palm is terrible.

I'm currently looking at Agendus for Windows and Palm.
