I'm a big fan of Entourage (2004, but X works too) and like Merlin
noted, it works well with GTD concepts.

So far, I don't use Tasks at all, and some times I feel like I'm
missing out, so I want to starting playing with it. My first question:
is Tasks exactly like a Calendar event, except it doesn't show up
(crowd space) in the calendar view?

Is anyone else not fully using Tasks? To date, I haven't minded a long
list of to-dos in my Calendar view, and I'm wondering if that's the
case, maybe Tasks isn't needed in my case.

Any thoughts from you Task users? thanks for any ideas and input.

I used to use Entourage, but, with Tiger, have switched to Mail. I
was getting annoyed by how slow Erage is, and wanted to have the
power of Spotlight searches.

Erage tasks are pretty good, but I'm now using NoteBook to organize
tasks.

Tasks are what it's all about! I love them. Here's how I do it: I have
a different category for each Next Action context (@HomeOffice, @Work,
etc) and when I create a new task I assign it to a category. It
supports multiple categories but I try to stick to one.

The real power is in the Custom Views. For each category, I create a
custom view, so I can see a list with only the items in that category.
I also have custom views called Due Today and Due Tomorrow, which show
only date-sensitive tasks. Play around with the custom views, there's a
lot of meaningful ways you can filter your tasks.
