425 DX NEWS MAGAZINE ---> The January 2021 issue is  now available for down-
load at http://www.425dxn.org/index.php. [TNX IZ3EBA]

ANTARCTIC ACTIVITY WEEK ---> The Worldwide Antarctic Program  has  announced
that the 18th Antarctic Activity Week will be held on  20-28  February.  The
aim of this annual event is to promote worldwide interest in  the  Antarctic
continent. Special callsigns (QSL via operator's instructions) are  expected
to be aired during this year's AAW from  Austria (OE18AAW, OE88WAP, OE89ANT,
OE90AAW),  Bulgaria  (LZ18ANT),  France  (TM18AAW),  Italy  (IB2ANT, II2ANT,
II3BOVE,  II5ANT,  II8WAP,  IR1ANT),  Netherlands (PA6ANT,  PF88ANT),  Spain
(EH3ANT), Ukraine (EM25VER), USA (K0ANT, K4A, K4C).  Complete information on
the AAW can be found on http://www.waponline.it/.

CQ DX MARATHON: CONVERSION PROGRAMME ---> The CQ DX Marathon takes into  ac-
count the  sum total  of the number of different Entities plus the number of
CQ Zones worked  during the  calendar year.  Jim Reisert, AD1C  has released
version 21.1 of his  conversion programme  for Windows,  which reads an ADIF
log file, extracts all of the unique  Entities and Zones worked,  and writes
the corresponding QSO data to the official DX Marathon Scoresheet.  The cur-
rent version was released on 10 February and will expire on 31 January 2022.
See http://software.ad1c.us/marathon/ for detailed instructions.

QSL ZL8RI ---> When  Ken Holdom, ZL4HU (ZL2HU) passed away in May 2018,  his
widow got rid  of all  his  equipment,  correspondence,  cards  and  logs  -
including ZK1KH,  E51KH,  ZL8RI (May 1996),  ZL9CI (January 1999)  and  ZL7C
(October 2002). "With the help of one of the team members", The Daily DX now
reports, "a backup copy of the ZL8RI log has been provided to N2OO, who will
act as the new QSL Manager". Replacement QSL cards are being printed as part
of the QSL Manager's Society DX Log Rescue Project. QSL via Club Log's OQRS,
which contains 33,885 QSOs made on 5-13 May 1996.

QSL ZS1SBW & ZS0RR ---> Charles, M0OXO  is t he  new QSL manager  for  Shawn
"Billy" Williams, ZS1SBW and the Roman Rock Radio Club, ZS0RR. QSL cards are
currently being printed and will be available in a few weeks' time.  QSL via
M0OXO's OQRS (https://www.m0oxo.com/oqrs/).

SABLE ISLAND 2021 --->  The DXpedition to Sable Island, originally scheduled
for October 2020, had to be postponed until October 2021 due to the  ongoing
pandemic [425DXN 1525].  "Since that time,  we have been in  regular contact
with Parks Canada and Sable Aviation",  the team posted to the  DXpedition's
website (http://cy0dxpedition.net/index.html).  "There are three issues that
we  are  currently  dealing with.  These include the  Canadian border  being
reopened,  the province of Nova Scotia allowing US citizens entry and  Parks
Canada allowing our team onto Sable Island.  These are all issues completely
out of our control.
We are cautiously optimistic that our planned  October DXpedition  will take
place at that time. Still some months away, the Coronavirus will (hopefully)
be under control by that time. Time is on our side in this aspect!
The Sable Island DXpedition  team remains  committed and excited  about this
opportunity.  Planning continues as  we receive regular updates.  This  is a
fluid situation and  we will keep everyone updated  as we receive additional
information.  We  would like  to  thank  all of the foundations,  clubs  and
individuals for their support, understanding and patience".
