hopefully using this forum. Whilst it is generally unmoderated in
content, there are a few rules and regulations that need to be adhered
to:
1. Always be courteous and polite - most important
2. Personal Posts - 3 things to keep away from at ALL costs. Religion,
Politics, and Family History. This is a AAFC site, keep it that way.
3. Pointless threads - Suffice to say, this speaks for itself.
4. Proper English - Covered in the FAQ, but I'll go over it briefly
here. Don't say "Plz help, Ima noobie" you will look stupid, and it
makes it harder for those whose first language is not English. Make it
easy for them and everyone else.
5. Off Topic- Another easy spam-trap. If the forum topic is '417
Newsletter', dont post 'I like reading newsletters' - keep your
replies on topic.
6. Forum Archaeology- This doesn't involve bringing dead jeans to
life. Too many Newcomers get excited about the big forums, and they
see a thread, and post on it, without even thinking about how long
it's been since the last post. Check the dates on the posts before
posting on them unless A) it's a Sticky Thread (at the very top of the
forum) or B) one of the first few threads on the forum (non-sticky).
If it's not been posted on for 3 months, don't even consider posting
on it.
