MANA-fest II: Cosmic Convergence at the SEED Gallery in Newark, NJ. on
May 10th and beginning a new monthly exhibition at the space beginning
on May 5th. We are currently taking proposals for 2D and 3D
installations for the monthly show and also for the MANA-fest II party
taking place on May 10th, 2008 and also seeking volunteers, workshops
and a few solo musicians willing to play some acoustic melodies for
ambiance in the main space for an hour or two to help us make this
unusual event spectacular. This is an all night art/party/edutainment
event and we welcome all inquiries.
If you've never seen or heard of the SEED in Newark, perhaps now is
the time to discover this gem. Seed is a center for the cultivation
of visionary exploration. A gallery devoted to unveiling the beauty of
our existence. The Visionary Arts Collective, a collaboration of both
established and up-and-coming artists, will assist SEED to promote and
pursue artistic inspiration, a myriad of events, programs and
activities. While also maintaining a resource center for contributing
artists, SEED also offers exhibition and studio space for artists to
utilize in the evolution of a creative community.

This is our first very rough draft listing (DJ's are not listed yet
but there will be lots of music and a couple of live performances and
bands.)
Listing:
Experience what enchantment unfolds when a host of conscious creators,
ecstatic revelers, and visionary dreamers gather for an all-out, all-
night escapade across the Hudson?
From 7pm – 7am, we'll dance and delight in an alchemical fusion of
pulsating live world beats, rapturous performance art, consciousness-
shifting talks, exotic workshops, multimedia installations, tripped
out lounges, mythological creatures, astrological gadgetry, and a
variety of mystical shenanigans.
Featuring: DJs and music (hip hop, breaks, sitar, Asian fusion, jazz,
jungle, psytrance, electro and more)
(There will be workshops, tarot readings, yoga, chakra work, guided
meditations, sigil making, and we're still open to suggestions for
more)
7:30pm: The night kicks of with a guided channeled meditation to
create a vessel for cosmic convergence, followed by Raw Yoga to
energize us for the evening.
8:30pm: Speaking from the Divine: Sacred Language, Symbols, and Ritual
in Action: This forum, hosted by Reality Sandwich, will discuss how
spiritual and cultural traditions have accessed the power of sacred
language throughout history and how those techniques can be used to
shift present-day paradigms. RS Editorial Director Daniel Pinchbeck
will talk on contemporary messages in crop circles, RS Community
Director Jonathan Phillips on reclaiming the lost Gnostic Mysteries,
Magical Intelligence Teacher Rene Collins on the art of the Kabbalah,
Urban Mystic Anthony Williams on the magic of Tarot, and Propaganda
Anyonymous on mystical Hip Hop.
