How do we as artists , respond to these issues, how do they affect our work, our environment and our future.
This will be a salon open to all disciplines.

Corrupted Realities II
538 Johnson 212
Corrupted -   altered from the original or correct form or version
Realities -       plural of reality, meaning the quality or state of being   real, occurring or existing in actuality.
Corrupted Realities II   embodies the idea that a work of art is created and then executed from an individual perspective, the reality of the artist. As this creation is manifested into being it's original form/identity is inevitably altered, split into an infinite number of interpretations, those allocated by the observer. The art object mimics our own reality, a reality of subjectivity.

Cook Street Sound

Jillian Brall is currently attending the MFA for Poetry program at The New School.  Fusions, layers, perspectives, and a good dose of humor are what she loves about writing poetry, and also what she loves about visual art.  She has been working on mixed media collages and paintings, and is excited to share!

Small Works Nano Vision
Art by Design
385 Troutman st 105
Having spent a number of years in Japan, I've come to appreciate the Japanese regard for things small. Japanese culture represents a rich and varied exploration of the miniature world, in contrast to western culture's emphasis on grand scale. With this show I would like to give artists an opportunity to explore the small. The show has a size limitation of 3.5 x 2 inches.

Wut Up Doc (umentation)
Studio 23
57 Thames St 3B
The artwork exhibited in Wut Up Doc (umentation) presents various interpretations on one's own reality.  While certain boundaries of individual existence may cross one another (like the physical proximity of Bushwick), the process of documentation will reveal various and possibly unexpected areas that are separate and unique to each participating artist.
