Cultural Diversity- More than one different groups
Universals-Something that affects every culture
Norms- things that you do everyday...something normal
Deviations- Something that is out of the Norms
Subculture- A sub division of a certain culture
Counterculture-People that go against there own culture
Ethnocentrism- People that believe that thier culture is better then
everyone elses
Traditional Values- Different Beliefs that have been passed on from
generations to generatioons
Changing Values- The changing of beliefs and other things in different
generations, Making it more modern

cultural diversity- quality of diverse or different cultures

universals- relating to, extending to or effecting the world

Norms- standard model, or pattern regarded as typical

Deviations- act of deviating or turning aside

Subculture- differentiated by status, ethnic background, residence, and religion

counterculture- a culture values lifestyle

ethnocentrisms- belief in superiority of ones ethnic group

traditional values- values that come from tradition

changing values-values that change over time

Universals: pertaining to characterists of all or the whole
Norms: Standard, model, pattern
Deviation: different from standards or norms
Subculture: culture values and behavioral patterns distinctive of a
particular group in society
Counterculture: Culture/lifestyle of those people who reject or oppose
the dominate values and behavior of society
Ethnocentrisms: Belief in the inherent superiority of ones own ethnic
groups or culture
Traditional Values: Values that have been passed down from generations
Changing Values: values that change as society changes

Cultural Diversity: The cultural variety and cultural differences that
exist in the world, a society, or an instititution

Universals: Used or understood by all

Norms: A standard, model, or pattern

Deviations: Departure from a standard or norm

Subculture: a group having social, economic, or other traits
distinctive enough to distiguish it from others within the same
culture or society

Counterculture: The culture and lifestyle of those people, especially
among the young , who reject or oppose the dominant values and
behavior of society

Ethnocentricisms: The belief in the inherent superiority of ones own
ethnic group or culture

Traditional Values: beliefs, moral codes, and mores passed down from
generation to generation within a culture, subculture,or community

Changing Values: Values that change in order to keep up with the
things that are important in our lives and in our society

Norms-A designated standard of average performance of people of a given age, background, ect.
 
Deviations-Depature from a standard or norm
 
Subculture-To cultivate again on a new medium
 
Counterculture-The lifestyle of those people who object or oppose the dominant values and behavior of societies.
 
Ethnocentrisms-The belief in the inherent superiority of ones own ethnic group
 
Traditional Values-Traditional values refer to those beliefs, morals codes, and mores that are passed down from generation to generation within a culture.

Cultural diversity-this diversity is often evident within a single
nation, with some groups holding cultural beliefs and customs that
differ from those of the majority. Cultural universals-features of
societies that are common to all cultures. Norms-guidelines including
folkways and mores, that people in a culture follow in their relations
with one another. Deviations-act of departing from a norm. Subculture-
group of people who share some of the broad traditions of a culture,
but also follow values and norms that are unique to them.
Counterculture-group that rejects the values and norms of a large
culture and replaces them with a new set. Ethnocentrism-tendency to
assume that one's own culture is normal and superior to all others.
Traditional American values-success, work, moral concern and
humanitarianism, efficiency, progress, equality, freedom, and
patriotism. Changing American values-self-fulfillment, narcissism, and
hedonism.

Culural Diversity- the quality of a diversity or variety in a culture as opposed to monoculture

Universals- a person or thing that has universal effect,such as currency

Norms- explicit or implicit rules that dictate what is acceptable or proper in society

Deviations- a measure of dispersion

Subculture- a group of people with a culture that differentiate thsm from the larger societal culture

Counterculture- a culture that runs counter to the culture of the day

Ethnocentrism- making judgements about another culture from one's own perspective

Traditional- in accordance with societal norms
