Please watch videos on ScheelBlog, research and then develop a model
for learning that would be best suited for people. Consider the
different levels of inherited charactersitics and the diverse
environments that ALL people come from. Cinsidering that, what is the
best environment.

Please develop your response and then influence others by respond to
at least three others.

In addition, please support your own model by responding back to
those who reply to yours.

A model for learning that would be best suited for people is
Finland's. The best environment is high challenge and low stress.

I think the best learning environment would be a place where there are good teachers who care about their students. If a teacher doesnt care if i pass or fail then why should i care either? I also think that it would require good technology for student use so a student could do their work on the computer if they needed to and not worry if they wont finish because a page wont load or it takes forever for the computer to log on. Another way to make a better learning environment is to make sure that the class room is confortable and quiet so that the student can properly focus on their work and do it to the best of their abilities.

I think we could combine both learning stragities. If we can have combine South Korean and Finlands Education the out come would be great. We could have school for more hours, but we can make it less stressful. Also if the United States treated teaching like an important job, like South Korea and Finland, we could also have a great out come. If our Country put a money balance with the schools we could bring the low level schools up and make them even with the ritcher schools, that could Also bring the education up.By Putting more money in to the lower level enviroment that would promote a better education. The best place for people is a high challenged area without putting the stress on them.

The best environment for all people to learn is an environment where there is a very small number of students per teacher. Each student can get personal attention from the teacher. Students need educators who specialize in the subjects that they teach so they can get the best, most accurate information on the subjects. Teachers need to be paid more, enough so they can be happy at their jobs. Teachers and students need a place where they can be motivated to teach and to learn. Students also need an environment where they are comfortable and confident. Students test scores and grades should be kept to themselves so that they don't feel pressure and don't want to compete with eachother. Everyone should get equal recognition in the school. There should also be incentives for good attendance and behavior. All students with bad behavior should be kicked out immediately. The day should be most focused on work, but students get a little burned out when they are in school all day so I think that there should be an hour and thirty minute break in the middle of the day. When students return from this break, their minds will be refreshed. School should also start later in the day so people can have time to get sleep at night. If I ran a school. It would start at 1pm students would get a break at 5:30 pm, come back at 7 and stay until 9:30. I also think that if this conflicts with a students schedule, they can take classes in the morning too. By giving a student options, you make them feel more grown up. This school takes concepts from some of the best schools. I think that it would work. It wouldn't be perfect but I think that it would be better than some schools.

I think that a learning environment should always be about the students and whats best for them and not about the wealth of the school. A lot of schools worry more about how much many their making instead of the education their students are receiving. I think that a learning environment should focus on each individual student and what they need to meet the expectations to the curriculum. Students should be challenged to meet the curriculum but a school environment should never be to stressful for someone to take on. In South Korea their students are in school for longer hours than you can imagine, and its not healthy. Those students spend all their time in school and never have time to relax and breathe. School should never be stressful, students should be allowed to enjoy learning and furthering their education. Students heredity that the are born with sometimes don't fit the curriculum of the schools, I don't think those students should be left behind, they deserve to be able to succeed in life and have the same chance as every other student.

In our society today, teachers are trying to figure out a way to improve our kids learning. Improving the education of the young students would benefit for everyone. Knowing that the young generation are the voices for the future, we as people should make sure each and every kid should have the right to get the best education as possible. Learning characteristics is based on our envirements. I believe that kids should be revolved in an learning envirement that stays focased and each and every teacher is involved and actually cares about the childs education. In my perspective, great and intelligant teachers are the key. With this the children may have a higher chance in improving in  a numorous amount of ways. Higher expectations of the kids could inspire the children to be the best they could be.
As a child, you learn whats around you. When you revolve kids in a learning envirement when children are actually participating and teachers show that they care is the best envirement.

i agree more with the Finland learning statagies but agree with South Koreans stratagies. i agree with Finlands statagies because students should not study every second of every day that the students in South Korean mostly do. if students study all the time, they wont have time to rest their brain. i agree with South Koreans statagies because students do need to learn becasue if they dont learn a good amount of things in a certain amount of time, then the students will be behind.

A model for learning that would be best suited for people would all depend on their environment as well as the will power of a person. People who live in bad environments are more likely to fail or not perform as well as they are capable of doing. If they have a suitable home environment then they are likely to focus on things that matter and in this case learning. Not only does their living conditions factor on the model for learning but also the school environment as well. If students are surrounded by teachers and students that are willing to teach and learn than they are more likely to be taught and learn as well.
Not only does the environment  have a huge impact on the best suited model for learning, but also people's actions. If a person doesn't want to help themselves and learn, then you can't force a book in their hands. People have to want to learn, you can't force them to do anything that they don't want to do. Even if they are forced which is less likely then they probably won't even get it considering they don't want to do it to begin with.
If the environment in which a person is surrounded by and the will power to learn is great, this would be a great model best suited for people to learn!

In response to Ashlyn's comment: I agree with you a 100% boo... i think your right about the student to teacher ratio. This way students would learn more and have no reason to slack off! I rreally like your comment about teachers being payed more, that way they would be happier doing their jobs lol

In response to Brandi's comment: There is a time where I think a student should be learning and a time for breaks... I agree with you when you said that students should
not have to study all the time. If i had to choose I would go with the Finland strategy instead of South Koreas when it comes down to education.

In response to Maria's comment: Wow, it's like we said the same thing :)

It does not take good technology to have kids learn because our grandparents didn't have technology and they are still at higher ranking jobs. Also a teacher does care about the students or why else would they be teachers, its not the teachers...its the students.

I have to disagree because Finland doesn't show students good work ethic. If the teachers gave them homework they don't have to do it until the school is back. How are you supposed to learn things in like three hours? Instead of graduating from college at the age of 21 your graduating from high school, then if you are going to collage that another 4 years or more depending on the job your going to. So u might be in school until your like 30, so there fore half your life is wasted in school.

i think finland has created a good evironment for students. Instead of telling them when to go to school, they give them options, which a lot of people may like. I would have to agree with kourtney.

There s no perfect learning environent.  However, the closest thing to it is a system in which leadership and adult discipline is encouraged  However, the environment should not feel as though it is a dictatorship.  Students should be able to ask questions, and parents should be in support of positive activity in schools.  Allowing stuents to stay home because they don't feel like it is unnacceptable.  When one becomes an adult, and cannot find unemployment, he or she will wish thay he or she felt like going to the calsses they were assigned when they were students.  Less than the best for EACH person should be unacceptable. Each person learns and progresses at different paces.  Everyone is not capable of having a 4.0, and should be congratulated when they reach what is understood to be, their best work.

I feel like a good developed model of a learning system is where everyone in the school are treated equal and all the parents are on board with the children's work studies and ethics.

Having a system where everyone is treated equally solves many problems in the school. A child will learn better in a school where everyone is treated equal,  them not having to worry about another student being better than them or being put down. That also eliminates bullying and word of discouragement from others. Where there is a school system that's created where everyone can learn at the same pace and also have a growth in learning at the same time is very good. Everyone is on board!

Parents being involved with the school should be a major role. Parents should know what their child is learning, any event that goes on, what homework they get and etc. If more parents are involved  im pretty sure things would run smoother.

of a school is important. With more money, you can get better

I believe the best environment one can grow up in involves most importantly two parents. Parents are very important as far as support and guidance in one's life. A household of peace and learned principals and morals. as far as school goes, great teachers are the key to success. A lot support is necessary to achieve greatness both academically and in life.

I think the best learning environment would be one where each child should be put in a class room with other peers on the same learning level as them. I believe each student should never feel left behind and should have a legitimate relationship with their teachers on an educational basis. Students should always feel comfortable in the learning environment their in along with being disciplined.
