After watching the videos I have came to the conclusion that shaping, negative, and positive reinforcement are all ways/methods of learning. Shaping is when you help and or train a person to do something and later putting what they learned to test by having them do it on their own. Positive reinforcement is teaching someone how to solve a problem or letting them know how to fix it. Negative reinforcement is bothering or annoying someone to get what you want. These are all ways of learning.
I would like to say that Shaping is the better of the three. It is more used in today's society, I believe, as well. When someone is born and begins to develop we are brought up with morals and values and later in life put those morals and values to the test by our everyday actions. It is also the best method because after training someone you must let them go and see if they would "fly". It's like a mother bird and her babies. The mother bird teaches her birdies to fly and lets them, after training them, leave the nest (as any mother would do). The mother bird would not always be there with her young birdies, but she trusts that they would be ok and lets them out in the world. That is the way that I look at Shaping Reinforcement.
IN regards to the learning environment of Finland, I would have to say that it is a Shaping reinforcement environment. I say this because, the students are taught to a certain extent and later it is up to the students if they want to continue on the path of education. South Korea is a great example of Negative reinforcement. The schools in South Korea usually have a higher demand of their students to achieve. They even have to make laws to prevent students from studying so much. Lastly, the United States would have to be considered Positive Reinforcement. Our students are usually taught on how to cope with everyday life by the skills that we learn. We go by the policy, " Do the best you can". We are guided by our teachers, our parents, and any other adult figure with help and advice!
