In our final installment of the learning debate series and unit,
Please Watch the videos that detail: Shaping, Negative and Positive
Reinforcement. Give examples of these behavior modification methods
and describe which one as most conducive to learning. Also,
incorporate a learning environment that supports each: Finland? South
Korea? United States? In conclusion, describe learning from all
aspects, Heredity, Environment, Education and Behavior Modification.

The Positive reinforcement works the best because if someone who who gets a good job or way to go are more likely to respond to that and repeat the same action that they got a compliment. Its just like with the dogs and bunny in the shaping video with work they got positive reinforcement and did everything they were supposed to do. Finland is a more positive reinforcement environment because everything is easy going they do something right they get a reward, the heredity has nothing to do with it because every one get treated the same in all the school systems. In South Korea it is a more Negative reinforcement because if the they fail its a big issue and it is full of pressure to do the right thing. The the South Korean heredity is that you have to be the best there is no failing, their education is that you have to pass with an A+ or you dishonor your family or your a failure. In the United States we have both positive and negative reinforcement, our education is not the best because our schools are not on the same page, like one has so much money and the other one doesn't. That affects in a negative behavior because if a lower level school and a higher level school went into a competition in academics the higher level school would win, so the higher academic school would make the lower level students seem like there aren't smart enough and therefore cause a negative reinforcement. The United States has a positive reinforcement to because students that do well get recognized by there student body and parents that makes them feel good about themselves and wanting to repeat the thing they did. The environment also has to with positive and negative reinforcement to because if you are going to a lower level school your more likely to here things that are negative, same thing with the higher level school but more positive.

Shaping= training someone to do something, then letting the feel confort to do it themselfs.
Negitive= making someone get annoyed or mad to get your way.
Positive= giving good feed back on how to fix bad problems.

I think positive renenforcement is a good way to learning because it can build your confadence to do something greater and it makes a person feel goo about themselfs.

According to the videos, shaping, negative, and positive reinforcement are behavior modification methods of learning. Shaping is basically helping/training a person to do something and letting them do it on their own. The person goes off what the teacher said, and then try it in their own. Positive reinforcement is teaching someone how to solve a problem. Negative reinforcement is bothering someone to get what you want. In my personal opinion, the most conductive way to learn is positive reinforcement is the best way to learn because giving someone advise or helping someone with their specific problem will help the most. It is the best way to learn and to take in. I believe Finland is considered positive reinforcement because they learn directly and the teachers go into detail and discusses everything. I also believe that  United States is considered shaping reinforcement because here in the US, the teachers teach and the students simply learn and try it on their own. South Korea is defiantly considered negative reinforcement because the cannot fail or their family and everyone else would be highly disappointed and their families will disown them.

South Korea is a great example of shaping. Finland is a better example
of Negative and Positive reinforcement. I think that shaping is more
conducive to learning. I think that you get most of your intelligence
from heredity and your environment. Very few people choose to be
better than their environment. Most people just become products of
their environment. Behavior modification also affects learning.

After watching the videos I have came to the conclusion that shaping, negative, and positive reinforcement are all ways/methods of learning. Shaping is when you help and or train a person to do something and later putting what they learned to test by having them  do it on their own. Positive reinforcement is teaching someone how to solve a problem or letting them know how to fix it. Negative reinforcement is bothering or annoying someone to get what you want. These are all ways of learning.
I would like to say that Shaping is the better of the three. It is more used in today's society, I believe, as well. When someone is born and begins to develop we are brought up with morals and values and later in life put those morals and values to the test by our everyday actions. It is also the best method because after training someone you must let them go and see if they would "fly". It's like a mother bird and her babies. The mother bird teaches her birdies to fly and lets them, after training them, leave the nest (as any mother would do). The mother bird would not always be there with her young birdies, but she trusts that they would be ok and lets them out in the world. That is the way that I look at Shaping Reinforcement.
IN regards to the learning environment of Finland, I would have to say that it is a Shaping reinforcement environment. I say this because, the students are taught to a certain extent and later it is up to the students if they want to continue on the path of education. South Korea is a great example of Negative reinforcement. The schools in South Korea usually have a higher demand of their students to achieve. They even have to make laws to prevent students from studying so much. Lastly, the United States would have to be considered Positive Reinforcement. Our students are usually taught on how to cope with everyday life by the skills that we learn. We go by the policy, " Do the best you can". We are guided by our teachers, our parents, and any other adult figure with help and advice!

I think south korea shapes there students because they have to li8ve a cirtin life style to fit in with school, and there parents care alot about there education so they have sopport at home. I think finland is postive reinforcement, because they let there students chooose what they want to take. Students would want to go to school more, however they are also shapeing there students with haveing so meany school hours a week. I think noth are effective.

Example of negative reinforcement is turning off distracting music
when trying to work. If the work increases when the music is turned
off, turning off the music is a negative reinforcer. Example of
positive reinforcement is father gives candy to his daughter when she
picks up her toys. If the frequency of picking up the toys increases
or stays the same, the candy is a positive reinforcer. Example of
shaping is in training a rat to press a lever, for example, simply
turning toward the lever is reinforced at first. Then, only turning
and stepping toward it is reinforced. As training progresses, the
response reinforced becomes progressively more like the desired
behavior. All three are conductive to learning. A learning environment
that supports each Finland, South Korea, and United States is recruit
only high-performing college graduates for teaching positions, support
them with mentoring and other help in the classroom, and take steps to
raise respect for the profession. Learning from all aspects (behavior
modification, education, environment, and heredity) is conductive.
