Hey all,

I put S3Hub on the app store (its now called just 3Hub). You can find it here:

It addresses a bunch of bugs and includes some new features.

New features:
- Friends and Sharing tabs
- Handling large number of files for bucket/folder listing, and other bulk actions like deleting

Bug fixes include:
- Copying files with non-ascii characters
- Added font mime types
- Override the S3 server host
- If you don't have permission to list buckets and you specify a bucket on login, should connect
- Added support for x-amz-storage-class header (for REDUCED_REDUNDANCY)
- When downloading it checks for file exists before trying to remove (Console error)
- Tokyo region support

Coming soon:
- Set a bucket website configuration
- Ability to add your own custom mime types
- View bucket location (region)

Its been renamed to 3Hub since "S3" is basically trademarked.

If you have donated money or submitted bug reports and want to get a free copy send me a note at gabrielh at gmail.com, and hopefully I can get you a promo code.

I will freely admit that I never would have considered paying money
for S3Hub until it was available on the app store, and as soon as it
was I immediately bought it.

I bought the app and have been using it for six weeks, and it's great. I need to re-download / re-install it now, but I am unable to do so in the App Store. Did you disable the ability to re-download the app? Could you enable that, or tell me how I can re-download it? Or can I just copy 3Hub.app from an old /Applications folder to the new one? Thanks a lot!

Thats strange... You should be able to re-download.

I found this page which lists some things to try?

Thanks. I had also found that how-to page, but its advice did not do the trick. Just now, I decided to take a chance, and after making a copy of the app, I removed /Applications/3Hub.app from the secondary drive. At that point I opened the App Store and was able to re-download/install the app. So, issue resolved. Thanks again.

3Hub is no longer available from the App Store -- when clicking on it I get the error "The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store." for the last two days. Can anybody comment? Is this because of OpenSSL and the Heartbleed bug or something?

After years of being unable to support it, I made it free and the codebase is now so old that I thought it was best to retire it.

If you bought it though and need to have it on a new machine, I could re-enable it for a short period to allow that to happen?

I really recommend trying out a different client though, like Transmit or Cyberduck?

Hey Gabriel maybe you can post a little note on the website so people who are looking for it know right away that it's been retired?

Thanks for all the work.
