I am trying to edit a model already posted by me previously. I want to
make the updated version a new model I am not trying to simply update
the previous version. I want to make the updated version a completely
new model in the warehouse. I already tried Google's advice but It
isn't helping the share model sheet is still filled with the previous
models information. How can I update a model of my own and reload it
as a separate and new model and still have the previous one?

Anteater,

What about if you start a new model, then cut and paste your work from
the original model into the new instance of SketchUp, and then try
uploading?

Hello,

In SketchUp open the ruby Console and the new model open and paste the following.

Sketchup.active_model.set_attribute('3DWarehouse', 'ModelID', "-------------")
Copy the mid number first into the dashed previous delete dashed line, then in console press intro and you are ready to upload the new one with the same mid number

José,

No, that solution is good for reloading (updating) the model - and
Anteater wants to do the opposite! What Jim is suggesting is the
solution.

Thanks for any help.

hi there,

i have a question and hope you can help me, this has maybe asked
before and looks like the question from anteater: i have uploaded my
home in google earth, but now i want to restart, so delete this
upload, because if i want to use "get current view" from my planview
in google earth, the old upload is still visible, so i want a fresh
restart without my already uploaded home.

Micky,

Maybe your home is sved in GE in the "My places" folder. If so, delete
it from there!

hi gai,

i indeed did save my home in 'my places' folder, in the meantime, i've
deleted this, but.........this is only the direction (link) to the
streetaddress (i guess) and has nothing to do with my uploaded model,
'cause it still exists....

Micky,

Then - what I'd suggest is - do what José posted above (in his first
post - to "reload" your model instead of posting it as a new one) and
if the 3D Warehouse Network is loaded into your GE, hope that the
changes will get through soon.

There are problems with 3D buildings for sure. I uploaded a
reconstruction of a 14th century church in my town and though it is
not loaded into my GE (and I definitely NOT checked that it was a
real, contemporary building when uploading it), it appears constantly
in GE though in the place of it now there is a 16th century, Turkish
mosque!
Now what; How could I repair this problem if I wanted to make a
contemporary model of the town?
:-)

These are the links;
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=fa5eee4c1d600cb21b7aa4a3cedb19d8
for the 14th century, Gothic church and

for the 16th century, Turkish mosque...
Hm...
