There are a few ways to do what you want to do.

First of all, there are Component Libraries from earlier versions of SU that you can import/install that provide you with thousands of Components of all kinds (as well there are materials libraries etc).

From the Component Browser, you can do a Search for Components and Collections of Components that are listed in the 3DWH.

Also, there is an excellent Plugin that connects you more directly with Manufacturer's Component Libraries that are readily available when you want/need them.
Said plugin can be obtained by becoming a Member (free) of SketchUcation.
Then Download/Install the Plugin Store plugin.
