What are the rules on using Sketchup models I find in the warehouse
for commercial use?

I wanted to import a model I found into 3D max and alter it slightly
and render it for commercial use? is this legal? Do I have to get the
permission of the author first even though i'm making changes and if
so, how?

Hi NickJ,

The short answer is "yes, you can use the models." However, I strongly
recommend reading section 4 of the Terms of Service page at
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/en/tos.html for the most
complete answer.

Hi NickJ,

I forgot to mention, once you create your derivative work, you may
consider re-posting the content back in to the 3D Warehouse. We'd love
to see what you came up with.
