Hi,

My model has been rejected, and when I click on "Tell us why we're wrong", nothing happen, I don't know where  and how I can explain anything.
What is suposed to be done here?

Regards

Hello Alain

One of the Google Guides will see your post and will surely respond soon.

In the meantime, I recommend providing as much information about exactly what you are doing (or trying to do), explaining the steps you have taken as well as describe exactly what happens.

I'm sure they'll need that information to help effectively and promptly.

   :)

Hi Alain, can you send us the model's 3D Warehouse link?

Thanks,

Hello CraigD,

Yes no problem, it's here.

I tried to add a map's URL where the building is shown but it was refused again.
I now have a link to a picassa album but I really don't see where I can add it.

Alain.

Hello again Alain

If you don't have any luck with Picassa, there are many others, including G+ (Google Plus) and Panoramia and sites like that which are easy to upload to.

Thanks Alain, I've accepted your model. You can always add a file to upload if you're having trouble with a link.

Cheers,

Hello CraigD,

Thanks a lot but that doesn't answer me about the way to supply additional informations.
The link is supposed to allow us to explain why we don't agree with your decision but where are the fields to put explanations and picassa URL or I don't know what?

Regards,
Alain

Hi Alain.

If you click on the appeal link a dialog pops up allowing you to
select a reason for your appeal from a dropdown list and giving you a
text field below that dropdown list. This is where you can past your
URLs into and add your explanations.

It appears that there is a serious issue with the Appeal link ... either with Google or with Firefox.

Last month when I was "trying" to appeal re: Ferrari World - Abu Dabi, I could not get the link to work.
I did get the Appeal window ... and could type my appeal description, but whenever I hit Submit .. it would return me to a page/window which seemed to suggest that the appeal was submitted.
However, when I go back to the Model Info Page, the Appeal Link was still there, rather than having "Waiting for Review" message.

While it seems this thread is dealing with a slightly different appeal issue, I'm guessing that these are related issues.
Either there is a problem with the Appeal Links OR there are issues with the HTML (or whatever coding is used on Google Sites).
I have read several threads/posts recently where people have been having at least one of several recent Appeal issues.

I think it's at least worth looking into Google !

PS>  Google :   Thanks for allowing me a Work-Around method of appeal when I had my issues.

No, No, SnowTiger you are exactly pointing the problem.

I really think that the link doesn't work as it should and it's because I ask Google guys to verify it and explain us how we can use it.

Alain

Hi all,

sorry I cannot help other than stating that I have appealed three
models over the last week and had no problems.
Firefox 12.0 on WinXP SP3.

Hi Matthias

I agree that this seems to be more sporadic than being the rule.
I have noted before, during and after I was having my problems that others were not having any problems at all.
So it's hard to say what the issue is or where it actually originates (website or our computers).

Hopefully, I won't have to find out for myself any time soon !!

Are you still having the problem? Occasionally a service link can become broken, but is usually fixed very quickly.

Thanks,

Juston, I don't think you meant to reply with this information to this thread. Since you've posted that here, please remove your post in this topic or it will be removed for you.

Thanks,

I can say yes because after having modified the same model, it's refused again!!

In fact when I click on the "Explain....." link, I just stay on the same page and don't see anything to do:
The link is supposed to be http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=d074aeb68831adc0e5f0eda00c6bec2e&prevstart=0#, don't know if it's correct or not!?!

Well, sorry, it's in french.

I tried with Firefox 12.0, same BUT, it works with IE 9 !!!!!

So maybe an HTML compatility problem. Anyway, it's quite funny the page doesn't work fine with Chrome !?!

Hi Alain...sorry for the frustration. I've accepted it again, so hopefully your model won't get tripped up this time.

I'm able to access the appeals link for your model, so I'm not sure why you're getting blocked, but I'll continue to help you with this model if you have any other problems.

Cheers,

Hi CraigD,
As you accepted my model I cannot take some snapshots to show you the
problem but I thank you anyway ;)

I'm really surprised to see that I should be the only one to face the
problem but as I said, if I click the link while I'm browsing with
IE9, I effectively see a dialog which appears with a drop down list
etc...
BUT, if I do the exact same thing with Firefox or Chrome, absolutely
nothing is displayed, I tried to suppress cookies, same thing.
I precise also that I'm running seven 64 bits. Maybe.....

But, at least I have a workaround using IE9.
Regards,
Alain
