Why does my latest model change statuses back and forth?

Hi all,

On May 2 I uploaded my latest model: Design Museum Holon (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=676ff13feb2881e9ac8ccf32627d4316 ).

After a day its status changed to Awaiting Duplicate Review. Few days later it changed to Accepted – Coming Soon. This happened on the "Cut-off deadline" day (May 8).

I expected to see my model in GE on Friday (May 10) but didn't. I thought I missed the Cut-off by few hours so waited for yesterday (latest 3D layer update) but it didn't happen too.

I checked my model status and saw it changed back to Awaiting Duplicate Review.

Below the status it says "We are now checking your model against possible duplicate or overlapping models". There is no other model in GE for this one and it doesn't overlap any other model (the only model near it, Holon Mediatheque, is also mine and I made sure there is no problem).

Does anyone know what is going on?

Now the status changed again to Accepted - Coming Soon. Will it be displayed this time?

It looks like it was accepted, and should go live in our next push. I have to add that you need to texture the roof tops of all of your buildings with the Google Earth imagery, as per the Acceptance Criteria, or they are all subject to rejection at any time. Please update the models, to help ensure that they remain in the 3D Buildings layer.

My problem is that it was accepted (according to the status) around 3 weeks ago and there were 2 pushes since then and it didn't "catch".

I just wonder why.

 

Regarding the roof texture. I was mentally prepared myself for rejection because of the roof but even though the picture in GE is relative new (2012) I got an aerial view of the building from couple months ago and the roof, today, looks like exactly as it is in the model.

Now the status of the model changed again from "Accepted - coming soon" to "Awaiting Duplicate Review" (I didn't do any change from the day I uploaded it 7 weeks ago).

Why?

In the past I had a model that returned "Time out" (or something like that) during process. I did a small change and the problem was fixed but in this model there is no such problem.

Hi AA3DConstructions, there are a lot of threads about this topic. The short answer is that the review cycle isn't descriptive enough to describe what's actually happening. One example; if someone uploads a model in the same place, it now has a duplicate and must be reviewed.

For the long answer, please search the forum, there are a lot of variables.
