Hi,

I received this error for several accepted models:
We're having a problem with the model you submitted

Unfortunately, we've run into a problem while trying to process this model for Google Earth's 3D Buildings layer:

Internal 3D Warehouse error. The model you submitted experienced an error while it was being processed. Unfortunately, your model cannot be included in Google Earth. If your model wasn't built using the latest version of Google SketchUp, we suggest downloading it and trying that instead.

We would be happy to re-consider any corrected models you'd like to submit. Thanks very much for your ongoing contribution to the worldwide geo-modeling effort. We look forward to seeing more of your models soon.

The Google 3D Warehouse Team

the problem is that 2 models were already live on Google Earth for the past week (I changed a texture and reuploaded them and they got accepted, but today I got this error)

and the other rejected models have an identical approved and live model!!!
and these are some of the rejected models:

What can I do? How can I fix these models?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Interesting.... I'm not aware of any issues with the kmz generator right now but let's look into it.

To the geo-modeling community: Has anyone else had their models rejected for PROCESSING_FAILED in the last few days?

Thanks Alex, I appreciate your help.
I hope that this issue is fixed fast because my client is really concerned and I need the money ;-).

Hi Asdas,

I can't find this issue with anyone else so perhaps you're experiencing a temporary glitch? I'm not sure.

Can you try reuploading and see if that fixes it?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Asdas,

You mentioned you're uploading an identical model in multiple locations, and that one was accepted while the others weren't. Can you share the steps on how you duplicated the model and uploaded the duplications?

Hi Alex,

Usually the identical models are in the same area (for instance within the walls of a compound).
I create one file for all models to position the models correctly. I create the model and make it a component then duplicate it and position it. And after I finish all models, I save copies of the file for each model. And in each file I delete all models except one. Then I upload each file (separated model) individually.

This is how I upload my identical models ;-)

Okay, cool. I see that you've reuploaded the models too, which was a good move. Looks like they are back in the review queue and have not received a PROCESSING_FAILED rejection. Good news!

One question, do you change the axes origin for each individual upload?

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the follow up, But I will have a relief sigh when I see the models live, cause the last time I got the error after the update (some were already accepted).

And no I don't change the axis origin for each upload. Does that make any difference?

I really appreciate your help.

Ah, okay, interesting. That it was rejected on ingest to the 3D Building's layer indicates there is an issue with the model, and not necessarily with the kmz generation. Unfortunately, I cannot check if your model will ingest correctly.

You should move the axis for each building. Not doing so can cause weird altitude issues.
