Hi everyone,

Do you know if it is possible to get someone from Google to change a small area of terrain which does not exist?

I am current modelling a football stadium which rather obviously is built on flat ground. However Google Earth appears to be showing a large bump in the middle of the pitch, which slopes down to the surrounding area. As I am building the stadium with extreme accuraccy, I obviously need the Google Earth terrain to be accurate too.

Any Information concerning my question would be greatly apreciated.

Kind regards,

Jake

I had a similar issue when I did Twickenham Stadioum. Ended up having to create a not-very-convincing plynth to compensate but still got accepted anyway.

That's all I can suggest at the moment Though a Sketchup Guide hinted they were working on terrain editing tools in another thread.

Thanks a lot for your reply Damien.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll end up adding a plinth into the model, however I agree it is probably the best solution for the problem at the moment.

However the terrain editing tools you mentioned sound very interesting. That would be perfect for what I'm trying to do. Hmm... I'll have to look into this.

It'll be a good while yet until the stadium is finished yet (I've been working on it on and off about 2 years!) so hopefully the terrain editing software will be available when I finish the model.

Thanks again,

Jake
