Hi,

I've tried importing a couple of things into my model from 3D
Warehouse. Each time the import shows up until I do something, like
select a tool, then it disappears. Anybody have ideas on this?

Thanks,

Spunk

Spunk,

It sounds like you're trying this from within SketchUp.

Can you download the model file directly from the Warehouse...

...using your internet browser? You should then be able to open it
with SketchUp, or import it as a component into another model.

(Sometimes, your internet browser's security settings can interfere
with SketchUp's 3D Warehouse interface. It's generally not SketchUp at
fault.)

Taff,

I can and now I think it will work. Now my problem is that the items
I imported into my model (the ones that disappeared) are in the model
but not visible. I can tell this because of the huge increase I had
in file size. Any ideas on how I can get rid of them? Maybe I could
upload the file for others to see.

Well, if they're there, you should be able to make them visible.

The imported component:

1) May be in its own (hidden) layer.
2) May be so far off-screen, you don't see it.
(Use 'zoom - model extents' to see all.)

Those are probably the most common (in)visiblity issues.

Taff
