Hi,
A small suggestion to approvers, you can always apply the same rules
for everyone?
You have accepted a model too large for my taste:
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=789b57cc7878ac72bb6e5e15d28d955&prevstart=0
To have encountered problems refusal to ground too reworked or working
with Cathy for overlap models too big (like:
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=93a06710c5bf85b55ce6a92c61e5c41b&prevstart=0
)
I have trouble has always accept your decisions.
Virtually impossible to make other buildings around the louvre or just
a model such as pyramids (see the latest model:
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=75411db02955e54cc93bbb700a29f431&prevstart=0
..... a masterpiece that will never be accepted!) or the arch of
triumph.

Thank you for answering me, and good to go Christmas New Year. Happy
Sketchup
Bernard

PS In addition we can not contact the modeler to suggest to reduce the
ground ... look bridges around .... we found the solution to
facilitate the traffic in Paris :o)))

Hi Bernard,

Actually, I can understand the reviewer's point here -- the big model
results in better overall georeferencing, and the terrain skirt has
the beneficial side effect of removing some of the gray building data
that otherwise gets in the way. It's a judgment call. If you're the
owner of one of the smaller models that got squashed, you can appeal
the judgment (the "Tell Us Why We're Wrong" link on the model details
page). I've forwarded the models along for further review, though.

Hi Allison,
Thank you for your reply, I had a "small" pyramid model ... but it is
not very important!

That's the principle, I found a pyramid much better than all!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Hello Allison and Bernard !
Thank you Bernard for your observation and help...
The main ground of Paris in GE has been remodeled and is better since
many months ago. The Louvre don't need any more ground made in
sketchup, particulary now that bridges are good placed on the river la
Seine.... And secundly the texture of the ground in GE is always more
beautyful than made with sketchup.

I try to make some modifications on the model of Frenchrogue, I
deleted the ground and put down on the GE'ground without problem. I
deleted too the pyramide to give us the possibility to place our own
model of the pyramid. Look here Le Louvre of Frenchrogue and my
Pyramid :

http://www.3dcite.fr/forums/essailouvre/Pyramide3DCite08

The Louvre can be good placed now on the GE'ground without ground
model....
Other think, and it is my opinion, Le Louvre would be better with 3
differents model, no for the download but for the distinction in GE of
the differents parts of the museum !

And last problem, how can we contact Mister "Frenchrogue"

Concerning the choice of the pyramid model, it's your decision...

I wish you a happy new year.

While I agree there are some models that are much to be desired, there
is one sure option to deal with them.
That is ... Create a New and Better Model, upload it for review and
hopefully it will bump/replace the existing lousy one.

Just a Though

I created a new model of Le musée du Louvre (8 separate models for a
best fluidity in GE and good distinction of the different parts of the
museum); big work, thinking thtat it was the alone possibility to
place my own pyramide in the actual model of Le Louvre(no bad but very
intrusive for my opinion...)
Some screenshots comparative of actual model/my own here :

I was a little bit disappoint yesterday when my models was refused for
raison : "exists better models..."....
Wishing good news for the next days....

hello
if the models really are better than those today, I would send the
appeal explaining that your model is better.
the appeals system works well .

Spanish
si los modelos realmente son mejores que los actuales, yo enviaria la
apelación explicando que tu modelo es mejor.
el sistema de apelaciones funciona bien..

saludos
peter
