Motivation: Why do you want to participate and what skills would you bring to a team? *	I have always been interested in entrepreneurship and am excited to gain experience and a mindset that will help me launch startups. As President of my community college's junior college honor society chapter (Phi Theta Kappa), I gained experience in facilitating team discussion, organizing events, and asking critical questions about the viability of projects the chapter wanted to take on. In addition, my work background in internet marketing will be useful when determining the best avenues through which to reach potential customers.
Ideas: Do you have an idea for a startup? If so, tell us about your idea in a few sentences. If you don’t have an idea, name one or two recent startups that you find exciting and why. *	One of my favorite startups is DuckDuckGo. The founder dedicated the search engine to a philosophy of privacy years before the NSA revelations, and has since successfully scaled the business. It turns out, there is a niche for easy-to-use applications for privacy-conscious people! Other startups that excite me are Uber and Lyft, because of the power these types of businesses have to shake up the industry, and return to the people the power to engage in free commerce.
