Motivation: Why do you want to participate and what skills would you bring to a team? *	Motivation: I was a participant last year, and ended up as part of a very small team that started a company that has since gone through an incubator, raised a seed funding round, and operates in two countries. I think 3DS is a great resource and I want to see more success stories. Skills: Programmer of most things, recent work has been in full-stack web development. Have managed small teams of interns. Decent with UI, familiar with UX best practices. Very familiar with what's required to validate an idea and form a business out of it.
Ideas: Do you have an idea for a startup? If so, tell us about your idea in a few sentences. If you don’t have an idea, name one or two recent startups that you find exciting and why. *	I'd like to create an online service that provides simplified explanations of our political model and each member's views/roles. I think the majority of the voting public, myself included, could be better educated about what's going on, and would feel more confident by the watercooler and at the polls as a result. Weekly reports might be a good feature. Weary of subscription-based revenue; hope to find viable alternatives at 3DS.
