Toward Increased Understanding of Innovation Intermediaries
Dear
3DS William & Mary Computer Science
This letter is an invitation to participate in a doctoral research study conducted by M. A. Batouk under the supervision of Professor P. D. Guild of the University of Waterloo, Canada. The study aims to understand innovation intermediary types and their dominant commercialization paths. This is done by focusing on commercialization of research results, and by using the lens of stakeholders.
I am seeking your help and contribution to my study, and hope you agree to participate in it; you are hereby asked to take part in an online survey. The survey includes questions about your organization as an innovation intermediary. I would ask that any opinions expressed be your own. If you prefer not to complete the survey on the web, please contact us and we will make arrangements to provide you another method of participation. All of the data will be summarized and no individual or organization will be identifiable from these summarized results unless you provide explicit permission to do so.
The survey will take about 35 to 45 minutes and you can complete the survey at a time convenient to your schedule through the following link.

As a token of appreciation for the time you have given to this study, you may ask to receive a copy of the thesis that will emerge out of this study, as well to have your name entered into a draw for 1 of 50 prizes. The prizes are $30 iTunes gift cards. Your odds of winning one of the prizes is based on the number of individuals who participate in the study. We expect that approximately 400 individuals will take part in the study. Information collected to draw for the prizes will not be linked to the study data in any way, and this identifying information will be stored separately, and then destroyed after the prizes have been awarded. As the amount received is taxable, it is your responsibility to report this amount for income tax purposes.
For more information about the study and your involvement, please read the first page of the survey.
