Motivation: Why do you want to participate and what skills would you bring to a team? *	After graduating I would like to start and own a business. I would like to use this experience to go through the process of developing a business plan, evaluating the market, and attracting investors. I will be able to help my team organize financial records, find support in the community, and provide critical feedback to improve the strategy.
Ideas: Do you have an idea for a startup? If so, tell us about your idea in a few sentences. If you don’t have an idea, name one or two recent startups that you find exciting and why. *	My idea for a start up business is to provide a service that improves domestic energy efficiency and reduces consumption. The goal would be to go after the 'low hanging fruit' like switching to CFC or LED light bulbs, adding weather strips to doorways, and installing a thermostat with a timer. We would target local residences and businesses with a package to update these appliances, train the owners on the benefits, and establish a subscription to exchange the light bulbs when they burn out so that they can be properly disposed.
Work Samples: 3DS is open to first-time innovators as well as seasoned entrepreneurs. If you have any previous work you want to share (website designs, business plans, code, just some cool projects etc), please do so here.	While working at The North Face I helped to organize a trail race in the Boston area that combined the outdoor community with a variety of local businesses.
