FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER
Dear Friends,
As Black History Month comes to a close, we recognize that Black innovation is not only history, it is actively shaping the future of technology.
Black History Month reminds us that innovation has always been shaped by Black builders, leaders, and technologists, and that legacy continues to define the future of technology.
We are not waiting to be invited into the future of AI. We are building it.
Through our expanded programming and new AI Business Solutions track, we are equipping the next generation with the skills and confidence to design, deploy, and lead in an AI-driven economy.
Throughout this month, we’ve highlighted Black innovators in AI and emerging tech across our platforms, celebrating both the pioneers who laid the groundwork and the builders shaping what comes next.
On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we highlighted the women and girls in our community who are shaping the future of AI and cybersecurity. We’re honored that this work continues to gain recognition, with recent features in Bacon Magazine spotlighting our commitment to digital access.
At TKH, our work is rooted in empowering and educating individuals to build lasting economic mobility, not only by accessing meaningful work but by developing the skills, confidence, and agency to advance, lead, and shape the industries they enter.
This month and every month, we honor legacy by extending it. By staying visible. By staying connected. By building what comes next, together.
With gratitude,
|

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
🚀 Introducing Teen Tech Launchpad
We’re excited to share an important evolution of our high school program.
The Karim Kharbouch Coding Fellowship (KKCF) is now Teen Tech Launchpad (TTL), a redesigned summer experience that gives high school students deeper exposure to technology and AI in a focused, accessible, and future-forward way.
Why the change?
As the tech industry evolves, so do we. We’ve used program data, learner feedback, and workforce trends to refine the experience, ensuring it better reflects how young people explore technology today.
Teen Tech Launchpad is a six-week, tech-intensive summer program designed for exploratory learners. It places stronger emphasis on hands-on technology skills, AI awareness, and real-world exposure, while creating space for mentorship, networking, and industry panels. Students will build projects, develop a tech portfolio, explore tools like GitHub and Figma, and engage directly with professionals in the field.
Applications open March 9th. Follow us on social media for the official announcement and details.

🏀 Game Changers Innovation Lab – NBA All-Star Weekend
We were honored to serve as judges at the Game Changers Innovation Lab (2026) in Los Angeles — part of the NBA’s “Beyond the Ball” All-Star programming.
In partnership with Comcast NBCUniversal, and the NBA Foundation, this initiative brought high school students together to design sports tech concepts, blending STEM, innovation, and community problem-solving.
“The most valuable takeaway was pushing ourselves to do something none of us have ever done before… It was a really good experience.”
We’re proud to support spaces that elevate young innovators and expand access to tech-centered opportunities nationwide.
