Welcome to 2026! A new year always brings a sense of possibility, and at The Knowledge House, that feeling is especially strong as we welcome a new cohort of Innovation Fellows and begin the work ahead together.
January is National Mentorship Month, and it’s a moment to recognize the mentors who have shaped my journey and so many others along the way. Their guidance and encouragement make growth possible, especially during moments of uncertainty. That same support is what our mentors and volunteers provide to TKH fellows every day.
As we start the year, we invite new and returning volunteers to join us. Your time and insight can make a meaningful difference for someone just beginning their path.

We’re entering 2026 with strong momentum. Innovation Fellowship Orientation Week is underway across all regions, with 240 fellows officially beginning their journey. This year also marks an exciting evolution in our programming, including the launch of our new AI Business Solutions track alongside Data Analytics and Cybersecurity, ensuring our learners build skills for an AI-driven economy.
We’re also proud to share that TKH was recently featured in The AI Journal, highlighting how we’re helping train the workforce for an AI era by combining practical skill-building with a mission rooted in access and equity.
As we enter our 12th year, we’re deeply grateful for the community of fellows, mentors, partners, and supporters who make this work possible.

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
🚀 Orientation Week Is Underway!
We’re officially kicking off the 2026 Fellowship with Orientation Week across all sites, welcoming 240 new fellows into The Knowledge House community.
While we originally planned to gather in person, winter weather had other plans, so we pivoted online and launched the week together over Zoom. Seeing fellows from across regions join in was an energizing way to begin the year.
This year’s cohort was selected from a highly competitive pool. Over the past two months, our team interviewed 326 applicants, welcoming a class that represents an 8% increase from last year. We’re especially excited to see strong enrollment in our new AI Business Solutions track.
🔍 AI Business Solutions at a Glance
This new track prepares fellows to identify real-world problems and use AI and modern tools to build solutions from the ground up. Fellows gain hands-on experience building apps, websites, and AI-powered products — graduating ready for entry-level roles that blend business and technology.
With Orientation Week underway, fellows will soon move into Phase One, where core learning and hands-on projects begin.

💛 National Mentorship Month
January is National Mentorship Month, and we’re grateful for the mentors and volunteers who help our learners grow with confidence, clarity, and real-world perspective. As The AI Journal recently highlighted, preparing people for an AI-era workforce isn’t only about tools, it’s also about problem-solving, collaboration, and the networks that open doors. AI can accelerate learning, but it can’t replace the power of human guidance and connection.
To kick off the year, we invite new and returning volunteers to join our upcoming Volunteer Orientation:
