This September, in honor of National Workforce Development Month, we’re reflecting on the heart of our mission: preparing underestimated talent for careers in tech. Workforce development isn’t just what we celebrate this month, it’s what we do every day at The Knowledge House.
First, a joyful announcement — our Co-Founder & CEO Jerelyn Rodriguez is officially on maternity leave and welcomed her baby girl! Please join us in sending love and congratulations.
While she’s away, I’m stepping in with this note. I’m Anna Verdiyan, TKH’s Chief Growth & Strategy Officer, leading our fundraising, partnerships, and long-term vision.
Real impact. Real pathways. Celebrated this month — delivered every day.
We kicked off our National TED (Tech Empowerment Day) Tour at the Inspiredu Digital Summit, delivering free, hands-on tech training to young professionals and career changers. Participants dove into digital tools, AI, data literacy, and cybersecurity, all at no cost.
We also partnered with Blacsana to host a powerful Asana site visit, where our 25 Fellows connected with over 10+ tech leaders of color through panels and speed mentoring sessions.
Meanwhile, our Innovation Fellows have officially entered Phase 3, which focuses on resume building, job applications, and securing tech roles.
At The Knowledge House, we believe that workforce development starts with pathways. By equipping underestimated talent with in-demand skills and real opportunities, we’re bridging the digital divide and building a more equitable future.

National TED Tour: First Stop - Atlanta
đź“ŤPresented by The Knowledge House in Partnership with Inspiredu
We kicked off our National Tech Empowerment Day (TED) Tour in Atlanta last week — and what a powerful start it was! Our free two-day workshop created an engaging space for career changers and young professionals to explore cybersecurity, AI tools, and more, all while connecting with tech experts and industry peers.
Huge thanks to our incredible guest speakers:
- Zaara Qidri, Senior Cyber Operations Specialist at Truist Bank
- Mercedes La Infierno, proud TKH Innovation Fellowship alum in web development
- Agatheria Roberts (aka Tiffany), 2024 Innovation Fellowship graduate with hands-on experience in design, project management, and tech

This unforgettable day wouldn’t have been possible without the leadership of our Atlanta team: Shetundra Pinkston, Brittany Farmer, and Camryn Burke — thank you for bringing TED to life and showing what workforce development looks like in action.
We’re also coming to New York City, Los Angeles, and Newark this fall! We’ll be sharing strategies for protecting yourself from cybercrime, plus tips for getting the best results from Google’s latest A.I. models.
