A big congratulations to Mamadou Diallo. The founder of The Young Hackers and the lead instructor for our Fordham Step Program, he received a full-time scholarship to Stanford. Last week, he received even more news, getting a full-time scholarship to Harvard. We are very proud of his achievements, as he continues to dedicate his time with TKH teaching children how to code.

Congratulations to Jazmin Reynoso for being awarded the TheDream.us scholarship, as well as a 4 year, free-tuition offer to Gettysburg College. Jazmin received extra assistance in the college application process by Cris Mercado, one of our partner instructors. Past Summer DOE fellows Jonathan Flores and Jhun Martinez won the Annual Regional Robotics Competition (the highest award). They will be in St. Louis on April 27th, competing for the National Championship. Earlier this month, Jerelyn Rodriguez was in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem for the Forbes Under Summit EMEA. Forbes brought together 600 Under 30 honorees from the Americas, Asia, and Africa to convene for 4 days of leadership sessions and cultural experiences in Israel.
