I've been in contact with Shapeways, and they've provided us with ten $10 vouchers to give away at the event.

It's not $100 in cash, but it's a $100 value... so is anyone opposed to listing them as a sponsor?

Also, are there other organizations that are donating things?

You'll see I also added "Supporters" to this page:

    http://www.3dprintingcampwi.com/sponsors/

to cover people that give us smaller donations.

thoughts?

Do you need more cash to cover costs for Saturday? How much?

It would certainly help!

Right now I believe we have enough to cover one meal, that's assuming around 70 people show up, which is what we have registered right now.

If we could also cover beverages, or morning snacks or even another meal, it would be pretty amazing.

Pete,

Please add Shapeways to the sponsor page.

Also add MakerBot, since Matt said he packed up a goodie box for us.

Thanks for putting that individual support section on the sponsors page. I should have thought of doing that right from day 1. Oh well, we can just make sure to do that for next year's camp.

Merci beaucoup,

Bob

Done and Done!

I'm also in talks with Ponoko... they may be willing to supply us with something as well. (Though not cash.)

c.ideas (www.buildparts.com) is in for $200. They are sending a check to Sector67.  I'll send out the logo as soon as I get it from them.

Fantastic, Steve!  Thanks for talking to them about sponsoring the event. Just send the logo to Pete.

Do you know if they're participating in the unconference on Saturday?

Pete, can you please also put a Google logo on the sponsor page. Put them up at the top since they kicked in the most. Jim didn't send me one, so just grab something off the web if you can.

Their owner might show up but I wouldn't count on it. I guess they make all their own filament(have since 2002) and their interested in becoming a supplier for the hobbyist market so he might want to talk about that

Cool. You might ping him and let him know we've got at least one person coming from Michigan Technological University who will probably talk about making recycle filament (they're doing research on that up at MTU in Houghton, MI). In case he wants to meet and talk to the guy. Otherwise I can also connect him via email if he's interested.

Bob, do you want sponsor logos in the order of amount donated?

Typically for other events we do them in order of commitment, but if you want something else, just let me know. This creates a non-hierarchical playing field where those who support use earlier get top billing, even if they are a small local company. If we didn't do this Google, Microsoft, etc would be at the top of every event, which puts all the locals and smaller orgs in their shadows. :(

(I will put them at the top for now.)

You've got a point, Pete. Go ahead an put Google and C.event down in order of commitment.
