Is it possible to run a Ramps 1.4/Re-ARM stack with 12V and 24V power supplies?

Bit of a strange question, I've got a Re-ARM/Ramps 1.4 based Kossel that's wired for 12 volts throughout, I'm considering installing a 24 volt heated bed by routing the 24V power through the heated bed power lines only, running the rest of the system off a lower power 12V supply. Is such a configuration posible? or would I be running the risk of blowing something up?
Any advice would be appreciated,
Edward

Yes it's totally possible using a mosfet or relay to isolate higher voltage for the bed. Its fairly common and easy. Google around for hearing beds and mosfets.
