Are there any live examples of the Rei viewer used with OpenSim on web
pages that you can interact with inside a regular web browser (Firefox
or IE)?

I saw the pictures on the 3Di website for Shibuya Medical University
and the virtual shopping store, but do not see Rei actually used to
provide 3D web interactive elements in a 2D web browser. With the
announced plans of Linden Lab to move to a web-based thin client, I
would have thought this capability would have been shown more by now -
especially with 3Di announcing this capability nearly one year ago.
While I think this viewer will not yet work with Second Life, it
sounded like it had great promise for OpenSim. I want to use Rei to
show a 3D visualization of live web-based data streams, but am not
sure how difficult it will be to setup the Rei viewer with OpenSim and
if this can be put together for a project over the next 3 months.

Any advice on places to learn more about setting up the Rei viewer and
using it? I've looked around on 3di-rei.org, but find that some of
the pages are hard to understand unless you speak Japanese. The user
manual and web production manual are 2 items that are hard to find in
English. These are 2 examples of pages were it is difficult to
understand without knowing the Japanese language:

There are a couple of live examples online that illustrate use of 3Di
OpenViewer (a customized version of Rei) inside a web browser. The
examples are in Japanese unfortunately, but you can still login and
get an idea of what is possible. The first two examples allow
anonymous login, but the last example is a members-only service
requiring registration.

Sanwa 3D Internet Lab, an online shopping site:

Wellith 3D Museum, a virtual real-estate showroom:

Virtual English Conversation Class (note: this is a restricted
members-only service):
