Wow ... two regs fighting over a girl/woman/whatever PC term that won't get
me yelled at by anyone (PC = politically correct, in this context). Haven't
closer families been torn apart over similar things?

Anyhow, bets on who will win:
a) the swashbuckling young man who gallantly defends AvP's no-save "feature"
against overwhelming popular opinion.
(IMHO, chics just seem to dig the lone rebel James Dean types...)
b) the guy who signs all his postings with "Eat a beaver"

*laugh* saw RMC's reply as well..

at the moment, playing though the unreal single player
usually I play sims or descent (almost sort of a sim :)

I used to program graphics stuff, so I do tend to
collect many of the "new" games out to look at how
the state of the art is progressing.

Still somewhat involved in the graphics stuff (hint
peek at the headers - fils is my desktop)

But enough teasing, I'm assisting with a economics talk in a
few minutes.

Jennifer, if you don't have joystick, I'd suggest a force feedback job for
you, definitely Logitech (I'm guessing Micro/Soft won't cut it with you).
You'll need room on your desktop of course, for that wide base, but that's
okay - the "girth over length" thing. Jennie, dear, picture it - the day
over and you're home, lights turned down low, a glass of wine poured, that
big nineteen-incher almost glowing in the darkness. You pull it out, that
'stick pulsating in your...hand, your soft, beautiful fingers curled around
it. Just the thing for stimulation...er, simulations..sorry...you did say
you were into them, I think. You caress it and it's pulsating with a life of
its own... now you're jerking it back and forth...faster and faster, ready
to blast away, the experience becoming...almost...Unreal...nnnggghhh...we're
getting off...topic...

Anyway, just an idea. Give it some thought.

I hope she doesn't leave because it's nice to have girls around here...they
have a calming effect and they are excellent to get in discussions
with{unless your married to them ofcourse..Just kidding}..I love girls who
are computer literate or just like game playing...

I'm a women too. Called you guys assholes too in previous postings. This NG is a typical man's club, tried posting but nobody would bother post back. Still reading this NG though. With 2 V2, just acquired a V3 3000, 65+ games and five networked boxes, I'd say that I qualify to be part of this club. I don't need baby sitting from you guys either, I'm doing tech support over the phone for a major distributor. But once I've exhausted all my resources incl. RTFM, I could use a hand, but not here, nope. Cause you guys are assholes. Or babies. Or morons. Or whatever.

Ya know, Ariele, I think you're right. I am a little surprised that the
occasional posting by a woman isn't always responded to, or at least not
helpfully. Me, I don't care what's between someone's legs out there in this
NG, although women can add "a lady's touch" to the sparring that makes
things more interesting, and really could make the post-adolescents in this
NG back down and/or look extremely foolish, and I'm all for that. So keep
posting - a lot of us appreciate everyone's involvement. We're not all
assholes/babies/morons, at least not all the time.

Now about that admission about doing tech support. Haven't you seen how this
group feels about tech support (including me, by the way)? Might be a better
way to make your point...
