Avenger...Old rumor true??????????????

This was posted a month or so back. Perhaps this post had more truth to it than
anyone thought.

Most likely there's not a shread of truth. But it's interesting reading.

I happen to be standing in line at a sandwichshop and two guys get in line
behind me. One guy says" Oh did I tell ya 3DFX was in yesterday?", "no" the
other guy says, "what's up"

These two guys work for Lucas Arts and 3DFX was there to get them to program
for their future cards, the Avenger and the SST, I couldn't believe what I
was hearing. The Avenger is due out in January, it has 4 processors, 16MB
and is PCI only.

The SST is due out next summer, it will have EIGHT processors and 32MB or
64MB and also will be PCI. The SST is supposed to push TEN TIMES as many
polys as the V2.

Whoa, I was doubting 3DFX could keep a lead, guess I was wrong.
