I have a Pentium II 233 w/64 Megs SD RAM, Creative AWE 64, Diamond
Stealth 2000 (4 Meg S3 Virge PCI), and a Creative 12 Meg Voodoo 2. In
Quake 2 (timedemo 1, demomap demo1.dm2) I am getting 41.5 fps @
800x600x16 and 49.5 fps @ 640x480x16. Are these rates a little slow, or
am I just being a selfish and greedy bastard? I could have sworn that I
was getting the 49.5 number at 800x600x16 before I cleared my CMOS and
re-configured it. Could someone please let me know if these frame rates
are in-line with what I should be getting...thanks boys...lates...

Seems a little low, I have:

P200MMX
64 MB SDRAM
Stealth 3D 4MB
M3D II 8 MB

And in demo1.dm2 at 800x600 I get 39.3 FPS untweaked and 47.5 FPS totally
tweaked. Your PII 233 should at least beat my system. Better check your
settings again.

sounds fairly close to the average. I use two in SLI and only get mid
70's on the FPS. If ya havent already the dont synch buffers option
gives ya a handfull of extra FPS. Check out gamespot and toms hardware
for perfomance and benchmarks. Brett"three fingers" jacobs has a
autoexec.cfg file (a newer one i hear) that will tweak the settings
for voodoo2. I have an older one and only got 5-6 extra FPS. Heard the
newer one was more intune for the voodoo2 but for some reason voodoo
extreme server hasnt been responding today....

I am using a P2-266 w/64Megs and dual cl 12 v2 cards and get about 53 fps no
matter which resolution i use (640,800, or 1024) so the processor is
limiting any further speed increases. even w/ this, when playing net play i
limit my fps to 40

I have a P2 233 oc'ed to 266. Monster 2 8mb.
I get 60FPS 640x480, and 56FPS 800x 600. However when I initially installed
under win98 I got framerates similar to yours. Formatted and reinstalled
win95 and I get the above framerates.
