In addition to Mr Tyler's suggestion, here are a few other things I commonly
try when this kind of s**t happens.
1. Uninstall the drivers for the video card.
2. Go into the Control Panel and remove the card from the device manager.
2. Shut down the machine and make sure you have a grounding strap handy.
ttach this to the chassis when the machineis off.
3. Pull the card from the mainboard and then reinsert it. I have found that
sometimes even having a corner of a card raised canbreak the connection with
the leads on the bottom.
4. Make sure the card is screwed in and boot up the machine.
5. When the Wizard detects the card, go through the steps to install it and
insert the disk when needed.
This should take card of the problem. If it doesn't, you could have a
problem with the card, a bad CD, or a Windows issue going on.
