I have an Orchid R3D and occasionally notice that parts of the screen are
covered in green pixels. It's very noticeable in FU2, at dawn or dusk, when
it looks like someone's been dumping radioactive waste in the Bay Area.

I have a ET6000 card for 2D, 64MB and a P200MMX, am running the latest 3DFX
reference drivers.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I may have done?

Thanks

Mike

I have the same set up as you.....I have FU2 and use the Orchid
drivers rather than 3dfx drivers....and have no visual problems at
alll..I have used there drivers for a long time as I found many games
to run much better than using the 3dfx drivers....Tomb Raider 2
allowed me to use triple and z buffering with these drivers which the
other driver did not.....

So give them a go if you have not already......I might be worth it.

I had this exact same problem (very noticable in LongBow 2) and finally
solved it. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what the answer was!
However, if my feeble memory serves me right, it was related to the
monitor refresh rate. Experiment with changing the refresh rate of your
monitor (and maybe the 3Dfx card, but start with the monitor) and see if
you can't make the problem go away...

Quite correct. I had the same problem when running any game at 800x600
until I lowered the R3D refresh rate to 75Hz.

Thanks for your suggestions (Simon, Jimbo, Rogue and Richard). I'll give
them a try and report back.

Mike
