LARGE- Learning Augmented Reality Global Environment.

The LARGE project strategy includes:
-Building a global learning environment through technology " augmented reality , Augmented Reality ";
-Development of software platform LARGE and integrated tools to create content;
-Building a community of users of the platform, creating and/ or using Augmented Reality applications in education for all ages.


Partners of the LARGE project are:
-" Magic Solutions " - Bulgaria , Coordinator
-Institute for Training of officials of international organizations - Bulgaria
-Regional Development Agency Empoli - Italy
-Technical University Vilnius - Lithuania
-Tallinn University of Technology - Estonia
-School Inspectorate of Bucharest - Romania


General objectives of the LARGE project are:
-Support for education and training institutions.
-Optimize the educational process.
-Supporting the of the students in the labor market .


Specific objectives of the LARGE project are:
-Introduction of new educational methods.
-Stimulate interest in students and trainees to educational resources .
-Education closer to reality .
-Increase the motivation of all parties in the education and training process .
-Stimulating creativity of teachers and learners.
-Promoting education -based discovery .


Direct target groups are:
-Primary and secondary schools.
-Universities.
-Institutions providing vocational education and training.
-Institutions providing adult education.


Indirect target groups are:
-National and local education authorities.
-Educational institutions, associations and networks.
-Learners of all levels and types of education.

 

Phases of the LARGE project are:
Initial survey of consumer attitudes and consultation with stakeholders.
Developing the LARGE software platform.
Testing the system.

 

Results and dissemination.
1.For school education- LARGE platform is an important tool to create Augmented Reality applications that can be used as a useful tool to promote the learning content. Augmented Reality applications are attractive learning tools suitable for students in pre-school and school age.

2.For universities- Regardless the LARGE software platform is at the very beginning of its existence, it will continue to evolve, and all projections are to be able to apply to the creation and use of Augmented Reality applications for university education. Teachers and students are now in a much better position to create and to have access to such applications. LARGE project has achieved a very important step forward in the implementation of Augmented Reality technology in higher education.

3.For vocational education and adult learning- Augmented Reality can be an extremely powerful tool for enhancing the content in vocational education and adult education. LARGE platform offers new and exciting development and improvement of training compared with traditional training methods.
